Age is not a disease in and of itself. Aging is a complex biological process that results in the progressive reduction of a pet's ability to maintain a stable or normal body state. Factors that can influence this include genetics, nutrition, internal disorders such as organ dysfunction or cancer, and environment (traumatic injury, parasites, etc.).
